“Boxed In” - Mundane series

This piece was a part of a series entitled “The Mundane series”. I created this series in response to the second and third lockdown where the novelty had very much worn off and everyone was feeling more caged than ever, the series aims to focus on the very mundane aspects of being stuck inside such as washing up or cooking but the perspective on each piece is from an unusual angle and the colour pallets are very contrasting and bold. I hope with this series shows the mania that time inside induced and how everything normal became absurd, but also show some of the comforts and joys in the mundane everyday tasks that we do. I sold these pieces as a set of 3.
