Illustrate A Playing Card Workshop

Elements of this Project:
- Promotional Social Post
- Promotional Flyer
- Worksheet Design
- Images of Participant Work
I devised, produced and coordinated the “Illustrate A Playing Card Workshop in my role as a guest artist for the ongoing weekly “Drink and Draw” workshops running at the Arts Cafe Artel.
The workshops were open access and created a space for individuals in the local community to meet new people, socialise and be creative free of charge.
Participants were encouraged to illustrate a character of their choice onto a blank Worksheet of a playing card, with the eventual goal of completing all 54 cards in a deck of cards, which would then be professionally printed and sold to raise money for the ongoing costs of running the weekly workshops. Throughout the workshops, I encouraged participants to focus on the creation of unique character concepts and explore how to best visually present the identities and personalities of the characters they designed through symbolic and visual references.
